Kampot Pepper (Red – 100 grams)

Kampot pepper is considered the ‘best pepper in the world’.  In 2016 Kampot pepper was given the prestigious Geographical Indication designation (PGI) by the European Union. This puts it on the same footing as other appellations of origin like Champagne, Cognac, Darjeeling ..

Pepper grows on a shrub like plant and there are three colours that are harvested by hand. Black being the most common, red and white peppercorns are hand sorted and therefore much more sought after as they have unique flavour differences and due to their scarcity are correspondingly more expensive.

Red peppercorns are considered very special and are only harvested at the end of the season and so can soak up more sun for as much as four months yielding a sweet and delicate peppercorn that is simply a delight.
